Introducing the Director of Administration

Linda B. Grigsby

First Presbyterian Church is the second time Linda has worked for the Presbyterians. Several years ago she worked for the Bellaire Presbyterian Church of Bellaire, Texas, as their Financial Assistant in charge of the church's receipts and disbursements plus the financial business of the church's day care center. Linda has worked in a number of settings over the years in churches, schools, a hospital and an insurance company. Most recently Linda worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Senior Minister of the Rayne Memorial United Methodist Church in New Orleans.

Linda came to Tyler in 2003 when her husband, Robert L. Grigsby, an ordained United Methodist Minister, took the position of Director of Pastoral Care and Clinical Education at Trinity Mother Frances Health System. Linda and Bob have two children. Laura is a school counselor in Birmingham, Alabama where she lives with her husband and two daughters, Kirstin and Katie. Jason is a graduate student working on his PhD in Astro- Physics at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Linda earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Birmingham Southern College and taught public school for a number of years. Hobbies include reading, walking, gardening and traveling, when possible. She and her husband have lived in a number of places across the United States including Durham, NC, Richmond, VA, Birmingham, AL, Denver, CO, Evansville, IN, Houston, TX and New Orleans, LA. Each place has provided wonderful opportunities and friendships. Now Tyler and First Presbyterian Church are providing wonderful opportunities and friendships.
